The Canberra Isuzu team recently unveiled their brand new facilities completed by the team here at Nikias Diamond. Located just over the border in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, the newly constructed facility sees the truck sales and parts departments separated from the servicing workshop.

The new facility features a large truck showroom, improved parking and a parts supermarket that houses a comprehensive parts display.

Canberra Isuzu is a purpose-built dealership for Canberra Trucks, a family owned company who’ve been servicing the Canberra and Queanbeyan region for more than 35 years.

The facility has been designed with DNA Architects to showcase Canberra Isuzu’s diverse fleet of trucks that it has to offer. The overall building is 1025m² in area and comprises of a large open showroom with a 6-meter-high ceiling and a glass curtain wall. The building is bounded by precast concrete and a structural steel frame with a polished concrete floor. It also provides several offices and staff amenities.

The premises was completed with a loading dock to allow for the delivery of parts and distribution to the Canberra region. The external hardstands were completed with a heavy duty engineered concrete pavement to cater for the significant vehicle loads that would be traversed over the life of the facility.

Canberra Isuzu’s General Manager, James Gildea, noted the safety of staff and customers, in addition to ease of access, was a top priority in constructing the facility. The project was completed to the client’s expectation and was delivered on time.
